The spiritsEUROPE membership and team pride ourselves on our warmth, good humour and good cheer. There is no better opportunity to showcase this every year than the Spirits Summit, held every November to look at the innovation of the sector, discuss the latest consumer trends and explore how spirits can continue to grow sustainably. Alas, this year, the event will need to be digital! Although we will not be able to meet in person and enjoy a spirit (or two!) in good company, we are sure to have exemplary discussions and presentations on how we envisage 2021.
We are looking forward to welcoming former Secretary-General of the European Commission and former Ambassador of the EU to the United States, David O’Sullivan, to look over the past years of the EU-US relationship, and provide insight into the years to come. Now the Trump years are drawing to a close, what can be expected from a President Biden and his Administration – in particular as regards international trade?

European Commission, MEP Marie-Pierre Vedrenne, Vice-Chair of the INTA Committee of the European Parliament and Aoife Clarke, Senior Director, Public Affairs of Beam-Suntory) and Europe’s Digital Decade, with a discussion on how the spirits sector can play its part in realising the EU’s digital ambitions (featuring Claire Bury, Deputy Director General, DG SANTE - European Commission, Agné Vezbergiené, Consumer Products and Retail sector lead – Deloitte, Els Bedert, Head, Product Policy – EuroCommerce, Bosco Torremocha, Director General - Espirituosos España)
